◆ Investment — Working together
Engineering engagements designed around operational outcomes.
The operational audit is free. Beyond it, SomethingCo prices engagements by the systems being engineered — quoted as ranges, in US dollars, not by the hour or the page. You invest only in what you choose to build.
Four stages, from first read to a system your team owns.
The audit is free, and it produces the blueprint. From there, each stage has a defined deliverable and a fixed scope — you can stop after any one and keep everything produced so far. You approve the number against the blueprint before any build begins.
Investment follows the system, not the hours spent building it.
The SomethingCo view
Audit
A free session that maps how work moves through your organization and locates where operational capacity is lost. You leave with the findings and a blueprint whether or not the engagement continues.
Diagnosis
We identify the underlying bottleneck rather than the symptom, then set the build order. The output is a systems map and a prioritized implementation roadmap.
Engineering
We build the systems — automation, integrations, documentation, and where the work calls for it, AI. Scope is fixed and priced before implementation starts, and everything is documented as it is built.
Capability transfer
The system is handed to your team with full documentation and the SOPs it runs on. You own it. We train the people who will operate it so the capability stays inside your company.
Operational Audit
The starting point for every engagement, at no cost. We map how work moves through your organization and hand you the blueprint of what to build.
What you receive
- →Operational bottleneck analysis.
- →A systems map of how work moves today.
- →Automation opportunities, ranked by leverage.
- →A prioritized blueprint you keep either way.
Ideal for
Any organization that wants a clear read on where operational capacity is being lost, before committing to a build.

Workflow Infrastructure
For organizations losing time to fragmented tools, manual work, and disconnected processes.
What gets engineered
- →Workflow automation across your operations.
- →CRM and systems integrations.
- →Internal operational systems.
- →Documentation and dashboards.
- →Knowledge architecture your team can operate.
Ideal for
Teams that have outgrown spreadsheets and disconnected SaaS tools.
Typical range
$2,000 – $6,000
Fixed price · quoted against the blueprint
Intelligence Infrastructure
For organizations redesigning how the company operates.
What gets engineered
- →Digital experience platform, connected to operational systems.
- →Internal tooling and operational databases.
- →AI systems that read context and act.
- →Knowledge platform and automation layer.
- →Documentation and long-term architecture.
Ideal for
Companies investing in scalable operational infrastructure rather than isolated projects.
Typical range
$8,000 – $20,000
Phased delivery · scales with scope
Investment scales with the system, not the page count.
We price the operational capability being engineered. Eight factors set the scope.
- 01Operational complexity — how many processes, tools, and decisions the system must coordinate.
- 02Existing infrastructure — how much of your current stack can be built on rather than rebuilt.
- 03Required integrations — the systems that must exchange data and stay consistent.
- 04Documentation requirements — the depth of written procedure the engagement produces.
- 05Automation scope — how much manual work is converted into automated workflow.
- 06AI capabilities — whether the system includes agents that read context and act.
- 07Deployment complexity — the environments, access, and reliability the system must hold.
- 08Knowledge transfer — the training and handover required for your team to operate it.
01Why isn’t everything fixed-price?
The operational audit is free — you receive a systems map and a blueprint at no cost. You are charged only for what you choose to build on that blueprint, and every build is fixed-price once its scope is defined. The ranges vary because a three-process automation and a company-wide operational platform are different systems. Prices are shown in US dollars so any client can convert them to a familiar figure. We fix the price against the blueprint you approve; we do not fit the system to a template.
02Do you work with startups?
We work with organizations that have real operational volume — usually the point where manual process has started to break. Stage matters less than whether there is a system worth engineering. If it is too early to build, the audit will still leave you with a useful map, and we will say so.
03Can engagements be phased?
Yes. Each stage — audit, diagnosis, engineering, capability transfer — has a defined deliverable and a fixed scope. You can stop after any one and keep everything produced so far. Larger systems are usually built in sequenced phases, each shipped and documented before the next begins.
04Do you replace our internal team?
No. We engineer the systems your team runs. Everything we build is documented and handed over, and we train the people who will operate it. The objective is to increase your operational capacity, not to make you dependent on ours.
05Do you offer ongoing support?
Handover is the default: you own the system, the code, and the documentation. If you want us to keep operating and extending it, there is an optional engineering retainer. It is a choice, not a requirement — nothing is built to keep you tied in.
Build systems that compound.
The first step isn’t choosing a package. It’s understanding where operational capacity is being lost.
